Diablo 4: Secret Of The Spring Side Quest Guide
Diablo 4's quests can be pretty straightforward, but some can prove to be a little tricky.
Unlike Diablo 3, which featured a very linear story progression and little side content, Diablo 4 leans into the recent open-world trend. As part of this sandbox experience, players have the option of completing side quests. Most side quests are very straightforward and well-explained, but not all.

As an additional challenge, a handful of quests only give the player riddles as instructions. One of these, The Secret of the Spring, is especially tricky for new players. For completionists and loot hounds alike, here is your guide to completing The Secret of the Spring.
This little side quest can be picked up after completing the prologue. However, you won't necessarily run across it right away. It is one of the few side quests in Diablo 4 that doesn't spoon-feed the steps to the player. Instead, it gives instructions via a riddle.
Once you've clicked on the POI to start the quest, you will receive a pop-up window stating the following riddle:
"Beacon of Warmth in Winter's Embrace,
Patience rewarded by Nature's own grace."
You can start this side quest in the area North of The Cathedral in Kyovashad. Getting to this area requires leaving the city on the East side, and walking around to the Northwest.

This side quest is fairly short, having only three steps.
If the emote was registered by the game successfully, a notification will pop up that you've completed the quest.
Something to keep in mind is that the Wait emote isn't bound to your action wheel by default. Instead, you'll need to customize the wheel to include this option. This can be done by opening the action wheel, then selecting the customize button.

This side quest will net you a Challenge completed, a chest with goodies, and a couple of thousand gold. It is unclear whether the loot in the chest is special, or is just a random roll.
