Albums from Janelle Monáe and Niall Horan, as well as a TV movie about a Frito-Lay janitor who claims to have invented Flamin’ Hot Cheetos are among the new television, movies, music and games headed to a device near you.

Apple has unveiled a long-rumored headset that will place its users between the virtual and real world, while also testing the technology trendsetter's ability to popularize new-fangled devices after others failed to capture the public's imagination. After years of speculation, Apple CEO Tim Cook on Monday hailed the arrival of the sleek goggles — dubbed "Vision Pro" — at the the company's annual developers conference held on a park-like campus in Cupertino, California, that Apple's late co-founder Steve Jobs helped design. The Vision Pro will sell for $3,500 when it comes out early next year, a price likely to limit its appeal.

FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — Saudi Arabia will reduce how much oil it sends to the global economy, taking a unilateral step to prop up the sagging price of crude after two previous cuts to supply by major producing countries in the OPEC+ alliance failed to push oil higher.

Asian stock markets are higher after Wall Street fell on concern the U.S. economy may be weakening following a report that showed growth in service industries slowing. Shanghai, Tokyo and Hong Kong rose. Sydney retreated. Oil prices declined. Wall Street's benchmark S&P 500 index lost 0.2% after an industry group's index of activity in construction, hospitality and other services fell to a three-year low in May. That conflicted with hopes data last week that showed unexpectedly strong hiring in May meant a potential U.S. recession brought on by interest rate hikes might be farther away.

Ukrainian forces are making a major effort to punch through Russian defensive lines in southeast Ukraine for a second day in what may be the start of a counteroffensive. Russian officials seem to be trying to portray the Ukrainian attacks as the start of the counteroffensive. They said that Russian forces have foiled at least one assault. While not explicitly confirming such a large-scale effort, Kyiv authorities say their forces are indeed increasing offensive operations and making gains. But they suggest some of the Russian announcements are misinformation.

A lawyer for Prince Harry says no event early in his life was too trivial or private for the journalists of Mirror Group Newspapers to resist. Attorney David Sherborne said Monday in the opening of Harry's phone hacking lawsuit that demand for such scoops led to the use of illegal means to dig up dirt. A defense lawyer says there's no evidence Harry's phone was ever hacked. Harry was a no-show at court on the opening day of his case and is expected to testify Tuesday in the High Court. The case is the first of the Duke of Sussex's media lawsuits to go to trial.

The European Union is pushing online platforms like Google and Meta to step up efforts to fight false information by adding labels to text, photos and other content generated by artificial intelligence. A top EU Commission official said Monday that the ability of a new generation of AI chatbots to create complex content and visuals in seconds raises "fresh challenges for the fight against disinformation." The 27-nation bloc has asked Google, Meta, Microsoft, TikTok and other tech companies that have signed up to the voluntary EU agreement on combating disinformation to work to tackle the AI problem. The official says companies should roll out technology to recognize AI-generated content and "clearly label this to users."
